Racing Hamsters
by Caleb P., 3rd Grade
Hamster racing is a really cool sport where you put hamsters in balls or race cars. In hamster race cars, it looks like the wheels are touching ground, but actually the wheel that the hamster is in touches the ground and moves the race car. Hamster races are 9 meters or 30 feet courses that are mostly straight. People say the fastest hamster breed is the Roborovski dwarf hamsters.
Hamster racing is so big in England that they put it on live TV! In England the hamster tracks are 35 feet long! Hamsters will run between 4 and 8 miles in the wild.
I think hamsters are the best racing pet you can get. Write back if you agree.

Hi,Caleb! I think your story on Hamster Racing is really cool. There were a lot of interesting facts I didn’t know about before this article. Keep up this excellent writing!
Yes, great article! I had no idea they ran that far. When I read the headline before reading the article, I imagined hamsters in their balls rolling all over the place, but putting them on a track makes a lot more sense. (Although I bet a roll-all-over-the-place “race” would be entertaining as well!).
you did a good job caleb it is really cool nice work
Nice writeup on hamster racing..
