Avery and the Imaginary Duck Named Linda!
By John A, 5th Grade
Avery is one of the writers for the Edison Light Bulb. She wanted me to write about her friend named Linda. I asked where Linda lives and she said her bathtub! It turnes out that Linda is Avery’s imaginary duck friend that lives in her bathtub and eats lizania. Linda is rainbow colored (whatever scense that makes) and has a enormous beak. I asked what she liked to do in her free time and Avery informed me that Linda is a guy…who has opposable thumbs which he uses to turn on the bathtub, climb out the window, find sardines, and put them in her tub and boil them. Tell me if you want to hear more.
Cool. I like how you and Avery wrote previews for each other’s work! Your descriptions really help me get a picture of this really unusual friend of Avery’s. Have you ever had an imaginary friend? What was it like?
I’ve never had an imaginary friend, but Avery did. She won’t tell me about it, though. Also, Natalie, who helped me on the trillionth tonne post, had an imaginary backpack friend when she was young….hmmmmm….
This is so funny. I love it so much. How big is Linda’s beak?
Avery trimmed his beak to an inch because Linda wanted to look good for Pickles, Linda’s girlfriend. If you want to hear about Pickles, Avery is writing about her. 🙂
O.k. Linda’s beak is tiny and only his beak is rainbow and his body is white. Linda also doesn’t boil the fish he just brings them to the bathtub and eats them like normal ducks do.
…..O_O…….creative liberties!!
